MER-Europe Brings New Companies to COMPAMED 2019

MER-Europe is a technically focused and service orientated partner with over 20 years of expertise and experience in the medical device industry. XL Precision Technologies – New Partnership
Earlier this year, MER-Europe and XL Precision Technologies signed a partnership agreement and MER-Europe now offers their services in advanced laser technology, e.g. for pull ring & wire assembly, micro machining, assembly, quick turn prototyping and development services.

XL Precision Technologies is a medical component & sub-assembly contract manufacturer with locations in Europe & the USA. XL Precision manufactures for a wide range of medical applications. Precision micro-components, complex tubular components and sub-assemblies are produced using advanced laser technology and combined micro-machining.

XL Precision offers front end development services through to fully validated production solutions to their medical device customers. Embedded in all of their development and production activities is XL Precision’s ISO 13485 Quality Management System.

XL Precision offers 3 development services, which are tailored to their medical device customer’s development needs:
• XLerator Service: Quick turn prototyping service
• Development XLerator Day: One day on site rapid development service

K-Tube – Stainless Steel Tubing from the Source
K-Tube is the largest producer of miniature stainless steel tubing in the United States and the only manufacturer to offer stock and custom tubing direct from the source. They provide a high level of engineering support throughout the entire life cycle of your device- from idea to full-scale production. K-Tube’s Direct, Design and Discover programs deliver custom manufacturing, online ordering and state-of-the-art engineered tubing.

K-Tube supports designers and producers of medical devices. Their solutions for the medical market range from traditional dental needles to hypotube applications used in small-diameter delivery systems.

With metallurgical expertise, K-Tube customizes stainless tubing design with choices ranging from size and alloy to cut, delivery, cleaning, and mechanical properties.

Sanbor Medical - First Fair Participation in Europe
Sanbor Medical is another company that is joining MER-Europe at COMPAMED 2019. This is the first time that Sanbor, a US based company with manufacturing sites in Asia, is exhibiting at a European tradeshow.

Sanbor produces electronic, mechanical and electro‐mechanical box build, sub-system/module assemblies and components, supported by in house printed circuit board assembly, plastics molding, smart cable/wire harnesses and other ancillary services with a manufacturing outsourcing service focus on the medical device industry and beyond.

Sanbor was founded in 1990 and still is a privately owned US corporation with headquarters located in Allentown, PA and with manufacturing in their wholly owned, FDA Registered, ISO 13485 certified manufacturing facility located in Xiamen, China.

SiMEDEx – Another New Partner
SiMEDEx just recently joined MER-Europe. SiMEDEx – Silicone Medical Extrusion – was founded by a very knowledgeable and skilled team of medical silicone specialists who have been awarded no less than 9 US patents in silicone extrusion technology, as well as silicone raw material formulation.

SiMEDEx is based in California, USA and specializes in precision silicone extrusion products, including long term implants. They excel at doing the most complicated, tight tolerance jobs that other medical silicone manufacturers struggle with.

Schivo Medical – Accurate and Cost-effective Prototypes
Schivo is a Medical Device manufacturer and life science instrument expert, providing mechanical and electro mechanical solutions – from complex components to finished device assemblies. Schivo partners with customers to build devices, implants, tools, robotics and instruments for minimally invasive surgery, orthopaedics, cardiovascular, structural heart, neuro surgery, ENT, maxillofacial and analytical life science systems.
