Medical Technology UK Moves to New Hub for MedTech Design and Innovation

2027 event relocates to Newmarket to strengthen links with the Cambridge cluster and wider Golden Triangle

Medical Technology UK will relocate to Newmarket Racecourse for its 2027 edition, in a strategic move designed to position the event closer to one of the UK’s most important centres of medical technology design, innovation, life sciences and engineering.

Taking place on 10–11 March 2027, the event’s move reflects a clear ambition: to place Medical Technology UK in a location that is even more closely aligned with the sector it serves, while strengthening its ability to attract the high-quality audience valued by exhibitors.

Located within easy reach of Cambridge and the wider Golden Triangle, Newmarket offers stronger proximity to a dense concentration of medical device OEMs, product development consultancies, specialist engineering firms, manufacturing businesses and supply chain professionals. For an event focused specifically on the design, development and manufacture of medical devices, that alignment is a significant step forward.

Medical Technology UK has established itself as a highly focused exhibition and conference serving the medical device manufacturing sector. Its core purpose remains unchanged. The move to Newmarket is intended to build on that foundation by placing the event closer to a nationally important innovation ecosystem and supporting its continued long-term growth.

For exhibitors, the relocation is expected to enhance access to a technically engaged audience with direct relevance to product development, manufacturing scale-up and supply chain decision-making. Although the event is moving, Medical Technology UK will remain a national event, serving the UK market as a whole. The organisers have also confirmed that Medical Technology UK will retain its established position in the calendar, with the 2027 edition taking place on 10–11 March, ensuring continuity for exhibitors, visitors and partners.
