Sensors for Bioprocessing and Pharmaceutical Technology

SONOTEC will be presenting for the first time at this year’s BioProcess International Conference & Exhibition, the largest bioprocessing event in North America. On October 5 to 7, 2016, the ultrasound specialist exhibits clamp-on sensors for flow measurement at booth 639 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

The non-invasive flow sensors of the SONOFLOW series will be a highlight of the booth exhibit. The ultrasonic sensors measure the flow rate of liquids in plastic tubes quickly and reliably. They are especially suited for applications with strict hygienic standards, for example for upstream and downstream monitoring in the bioprocessing industry and pharmaceutical production, as they absolutely eliminate any risk of contamination or leaking. SONOTEC offers an integrated electronics board, so that no additional external board or flow meter is needed.

The technologically advanced sensors are suitable for most types and sizes of plastic tubing available on the market. Sensor solutions for tubing materials, such as TPE, silicone, PTFE, PVC, PFA as well as other materials and qualities like platinum-cured silicone or braided tubing are on stock or can be manufactured by SONOTEC’s experienced production facility.

Besides the contactless sensors for flow measurement the ultrasound specialist also offers a sensor solution for combined flow-bubble detection. This sensor is capable of seeing micro bubbles down to 0.2 µL and reading flow rates ranging from 0 to 12 liter per minute.

Air bubble sensors of the SONOCHECK series as well as sensors for level detection are also available by SONOTEC and will be presented at the event for bioprocessing suppliers.
